Instructions for using your RB1-707-TT Radiator BOOster™

When you first use this product, place it on top of a hot radiator, diamond shaped holes facing down, and leave in place for at least 2 hours to ensure the thermostatic switch is operating correctly.

This energy-saving device maximises heat output from radiators at virtually zero running cost. The ingenious design is made from the very minimum of raw materials, whilst achieving the greatest possible energy saving. It’s objective is to speed up the heat distribution from your radiator, warming your room faster, allowing your heating system to shut down sooner, saving energy. It also limits the heat lost through the walls behind. In most cases you should be able to reduce your room thermostat setting by 1-3 degrees Celsius.

Instructions;
(1) Extend the housing to match the length or your radiator, or on longer radiators, until just 25mm-overlap of the two sections remains.
(2) Place atop the radiator, as far towards the back (wall) as possible, equal distance from both ends. Ensure the product label is facing downwards as the diamond-shaped openings allow the warm air to be drawn up from behind the radiator. Some radiator designs allow the device to ‘drop-down a little’ behind it. This further improves the performance.
(3) Plug in / Switch on the power. From here, the built-in thermostat will ‘switch-on’ the device as soon as your radiator heats up, and ‘off’ again as the radiator cools. For maximum product life & energy saving, switch off from wall socket when not needed.
(4) Keep the device as clean as possible. A build up of dust will reduce its useful life. Wipe clean using a  ‘lint-free’ cloth, take care with the fragile fan blades; they will break with the slightest force.
(5) The power cord should be kept tucked away to avoid any trip hazard, loosely tied up should it be too long/sagging. Should you find that the lead is too short, you can purchase a 2 metre extension lead, Part # EL-RB1.
(6) NEVER use water or chemicals on the device, and never immerse it in water. Should this happen, DO NOT plug it in, simply return it to your retailer for service.
(7) Never use the device in a bathroom, shower room, etc, indeed anywhere there is water and/or high humidity.
(8) Should something jam the fan and prevent it from operating, switch off the power immediately & return the product for service. Failure to do this will result in the fan burning out. Never allow young children or animals to touch or play with this product.
(9) Never cut the power lead, or extend it yourself, or use any other power supply adaptor other than the one supplied with the product as electric shock and/or a fire could result.
(10) The device can also be used where radiator covers are fitted (provided there is space to install it). Radiator covers seriously reduce the heat output from radiators. A Radiator BOOster™ could increase heat output from your ‘covered’ radiator by up to 3 times, saving you more energy, further reducing your costs.
(11) This product is designed to be very effective, and very reliable. Should you have any problems, please contact your retailer immediately. The product is guaranteed against defects in design or manufacture, but not against abuse or accidental damage.
(12) When you have no further use for this product, please dispose of it through your local authority recycling-program for ‘recovery and recycling for electrical products’.
(13) This device must only be used on ‘water system radiators’. NEVER use on OIL FILLED Radiators, as these can get too hot for the plastic housing, which may then fail to work correctly.
(14) Should you notice a rubbing/clicking sound, you may need to apply a gentle squeeze around the housing area of the fan to re-align it. Should the fan suddenly start making a loud noise, it could be that it has moved on its bearing. To correct this simply place your fingertip on the inside centre circle-area of the fan, (opposite side to the fan label), & press carefully to ensure the bearing has not slipped during use or transit.

Instructions for using your EL-RB1 Extension Lead

The EL-RB1 extension lead is designed specifically for use with the RB1 range of products. It is 3 metres long, and simply plugs between the lead from the device, then into the power supply adapter. Trip hazards are a major cause of accidents in the home. Please ensure you keep the leads well tucked away and/or tied up. Never allow the leads to come in contact with water, and ensure they can’t be interfered with by pets or vermin. You can use more than one EL-RB1 lead per product, but it may reduce the performance of that product. Never cut/join the leads, this could result in product failure and/or electric shock.

Instructions for using your RB1-700-UK Radiator BOOster™

Please Note; It must only be used on ‘water system radiators’. NEVER use it on OIL FILLED Radiators, as these get too hot for the plastic housing, which will then deform and fail to work correctly.
1) Place the device on the top of a radiator as far towards the wall/back as possible, and equal distance from both ends of your radiator. Ensure the product label is facing downwards, as the large openings allow the air to be drawn up from behind the radiator. Some designs of radiator will allow the device to ‘drop-down a little’ behind it, which further improves the performance.
2) Plug in / Switch on the RB1-700 as soon as you enter the room, and then only switch it off when you are certain you will not be returning for some time. You don’t need to keep switching the device on/off whilst you are in the room. It is designed to keep re-circulating the air in your room even when the radiator cools.
3) To gain maximum life from the device, 6-hour periods should be ideal. Do not leave it running continuously 24hours/day as the fans need cooling down periods.
4) Keep the RB1-700 as clean as possible. A build up of dust will reduce the useful life of the device. To clean it, simply unplug from the power socket, take a  ‘lint-free’ cloth, and gently wipe to remove as much dust as possible. Take care with the fan blades as these are very fragile and will break with the slightest force.
5) The power cord should always be kept tucked away to avoid any trip hazard, loosely tied up should it be too long/sagging. Should you find that the lead is too short to reach your socket, you can purchase a 3 metre extension lead, Part # EL-RB1.
6) You will notice on the top of your RB1-700, towards each end there are cut-out lines in the housing. These are ‘upward-deflectors’ and should only be used if you find that the air being blown out of the end of your RB1-700 is being restricted by perhaps a nearby wall, curtain, etc. To use one of the ‘upward-air-deflectors’ take a small pair of scissors and carefully cut through the two tabs nearest the centre of the device, then using your fingers, gently push down on the deflector until it jams vertically against the bottom of the device. You now have a deflector that allows air to be directed upwards instead of horizontally. Select a deflector only if absolutely necessary as they slightly reduce the performance of the device.
7) NEVER use water or chemicals on the device, and never immerse it in water. Should this happen, DO NOT plug it in, simply return it to the manufacturer for service.
8) You must not use the RB1 in a bathroom, shower room, etc, indeed anywhere there is water and/or high humidity.
9) Should something jam the fans and prevent them from operating, switch off the power immediately and return the product for service. Failure to do this will result in the fans burning out. Never allow young children or animals to touch or play with this product.
10) Never cut the power lead, or extend it yourself, or use any other power supply adapter other than the one supplied with the product. Electric shock and/or a fire could result.
11) The RB1-700 should also be used where radiator covers are fitted (provided there is space to install them). Radiator covers seriously reduce the efficiency and output from standard radiators. The use of an RB1-700 could increase heat output from your ‘covered’ radiator by up to 3 times, saving you even greater levels of energy, reducing your energy costs.
12) This product is designed to be very effective, and very reliable. Should you have any problems, please contact your retailer immediately. The product is guaranteed against defects in design or manufacture, but not against abuse or accidental damage.
13) When you have no further use for this product, please dispose of it through your local authority recycling program for ‘recovery and recycling for electrical products’. Do not dispose of it with your regular household waste. This will ensure there is the minimum impact on the environment and will reduce landfill waste.
14) If the device starts to make a rubbing/clicking noise, simply hold each end between your hands and gently 'twist' a tiny amount to re-align the plastic housing. Alternatively, it may just need a slight tap with your fingers near the fans, or even a gentle squeeze of the housing around them. Should the fan/s make a loud noise, it could be that they have moved on their bearing. To correct this simply turn the device upside-down, place your fingertip on the inside centre circle-area of the fan, (opposite side to the fan label), & press firmly to ensure the bearing has not slipped during use or transit.
